Nnnnrgh, this was so frustratiiiing!
I guess I had sort of lost my feel for doing detailed sketches when I started out and was getting really tired of it, and as I continued through the shading didn't seem right.
[like my darks weren't dark enough and the spots that needed to be light weren't light enough].

I was really thinking of giving up, but it really wouldn't do me any good plus I'd sort of let my client down, and so I continued the slaughter with the pencil. [btw, used a mech pencil].
I guess I could've saved myself some grief by using these art pencils, but I was too lazy to get them from my bag when I started - I went for the mech pencil [was in my metal cannister along with my ink nibs].

The wings were bitches...*stab*
So was that effing hat *stab*

And no, the rabbit isn't squinting.
Just looks like it since I added eyelashes.

Uuuuum...I think that's all the ranting for this one.
At least it was nice outside today when I sketched. :3

DX I know what you mean, I like the piece,I don't know what you see so this seems wonderful to me, but artists always see something in their own work others can't I suppose.

But yes, in many cases you get so frustrated with something in your art, like me when I couldn't color or what not, so I feel your pain. *pats on shoulder*

But this piece is wonderful niki, you've always been wonderful with shading and I've never really had anything to complain about, so keep up the good work.

the shading in this looks lazy, not smooth, as I'm used to doing. But I think I was just drawing with a rusty hand.

And slowly it warmed up and became a little more natural, I guess.

I know, it's horrible.
*tilts head on your shoulder* -is comfy-

I didn't say its horrible, I told you I like it, I just have a different view, sometimes 'laziness' produces a different type of style that allows for a different effect, so no worries, nyeh?
