This was supposed to be called, "Sacrificial Goat" but I'm still debating. (reason was because i was going to do an axillary piece based off this idea)

the image came to me after Mass at school, and the way i picture the holy spirit as a blue fiery bird, rather a red or orange spurts of fire.

For me, red and warm colors represent passion and sponteniety[sp]. blue is more calm, wise, and so on.
And the Holy Spirit sort of...'actively' guides me. So, I guess this a dedication piece to it.
...Yes, I had represented the HS with a female form.
I believe it to be appropriate.

If you look hard at the bottom you can find the blue/purple pheonix forming.

THe original version, the colors are a TON more vibrant than this. The dimensions are about 45'h and 35'w.

Done in Acrylic and white gesso.
